Kathleen Parker Culpepper, 89, of Valdosta, passed away on Wednesday, February 19th, 2025, at Langdale Hospice House. She was born in Lowndes County on April 3, 1935. Growing up, she was very athletic and loved basketball. She was awarded 5 college scholarships in basketball but was not allowed to attend. In 1953, she met Frank Culpepper. They were married on April 22, 1956. One month after they were married, he lost his hand in a paper mill accident. Kathleen and Frank were missionaries in Dunedin New Zealand for 2 years from 1968 to 1970. She had a love for children. She taught Bible classes, worked as an IPI aid and drove a school bus in the Lowndes County School System. She went on to have a very successful career with Tupperware. The three greatest joys of her life were her grandchildren: Logan, Kelsi, and Christopher.

She is survived by her daughters, Cathy C. Folsom and Dawn C. McLendon, both of Valdosta; her grandchildren, Logan S. McLendon of Valdosta, Kelsi K. Spurlock (Zack) of Grand Ridge, Florida, and Christopher Watts of Washington DC; brother, James Parker; two sisters-in-law Mary Parker of Leesburg and Dorothy C. Parker of Hahira; and an abundance of nephews, nieces, and friends.
