Justin Anderson Mullis, 35, of Ray City, died on Monday, April 22, 2013 at South Georgia Medical Center following a sudden illness. He was born on March 3, 1978 in Hahira and has been a resident in this area all his life. He attended Lowndes High School and had worked as a brick mason for most of his life. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to fish and hunt, and had a big passion for playing his guitar. Justin was a loving father and a kind and caring person with a huge heart. He attended the House of Joy where he was baptized
Survivors include his children, Hunter and Bailey Mullis of Lake Park; his parents, Jack and Martha Mullis of Ray City; a sister, Alena Mullis of Ray City and a brother, Andy Mullis of Summerville, South Carolina; two nieces, Kayla Sills of Adel and Ashtyn Mullis of Panama City, Florida; a nephew, Jack Mullis of Summerville, South Carolina; paternal grandparents, Jack and Kathlun Mullis of Hahira; a special uncle, David Bailey; mother of his children, Melissa Proietti of Lake Park; other loving aunts, uncles, cousins and other family members. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Fred and Betty Lou Bailey.
Services for Justin Mullis will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, April 26, 2013 in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home. The burial will follow in the Sunset Hill Cemetery.
