June Strawder, 75, of Ray City died Thursday, March 12, 2015 at South Georgia Medical Center. He was born in Berrien County on June 28, 1939 to the late Charlie S. and Cora Lee Bradford Strawder and was a lifelong resident of this area. Mr. Strawder was a Baptist and enjoyed farming, fishing and raising cattle.
Survivors include his wife, LaDon Strawder, daughter and son in law, Tonia and John Beville all of Ray City; son, Philip Strawder of Thomasville, his grandchildren: John Beville, Kayla Beville, Matthew Beville and LeAnn Beville; brothers and sisters in law, Loran Strawder of Germany, Bobby and Sherrill Strawder of Lake City, FL, Hazel Strawder of Hahira, Doris Strawder of Crescent City, FL; brothers in law and sisters in law, Roscoe and Shirley Delk of San Antonio, TX, Patsy Godwin of Ray City, Douglas Godwin and Sue Godwin both of Adel; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, Jeffrey T. Strawder, parents, Charlie and Cora Lee Strawder, parents in law, Shellie and Lois Godwin, brothers, Charlie Mack Strawder and Mark Strawder, sister and brother in law, Mildred and Robert Smith, sister in law, Paula Strawder and brother in law, Hubert Godwin.
Funeral services will be held at 4pm, Sunday, March 15, 2015 in the chapel of Martin/McLane Funeral Home with Mr. Bryan Jarvis, Mr. John Beville, Jr., Mr. John Beville, III and Mr. Jackie Bradford officiating.
