June Stephenson

June Stephenson, 69, of Valdosta, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, April 7, 2014, at Shands Hospital, Gainesville, FL.

She was born December 17, 1944 in Valdosta, the only child of Walt and Faye Dumas Brown. Mrs. Stephenson was a full-time Mom and was all about her family. She was an excellent cook, loved the outdoors, camping and reading, and was an avid bird watcher.

She is survived by her two sons, Patrick Stephenson of Valdosta, and Sean Stephenson and wife Nikki of Atlanta; daughter-in-law, Laura Bailey of Valdosta; two grandchildren, Dominic and Danica Stephenson, both of Atlanta; and her special friend, Mickey. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-one years, Dink Stephenson on April 14, 2013.

A Memorial Service for Mrs. Stephenson will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, April 13, 2014, at the Chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home, with Rev. Tommy Bussey officiating.
