Julie Wetherington Bush

JULIE WETHERINGTON BUSH, 50, of Delta, Colorado died Saturday, September 1, 2007 at the Delta County Memorial Hospital. She was born on July 29, 1957 in Adel, Georgia and spent her early childhood in Adel before moving to Valdosta. Julie joined the Northside Baptist Church in the 1960’s where she still held her membership. She was a 1975 graduate of Valdosta High School and was a member of the Valdosta High School Marching Cats Flag Corps. She later moved to Colorado and married Chuck Bush and worked for Mt. Park Veterinarian Hospital in Evergreen, Colorado as a Veterinarian Assistant. In 2001 she moved to Delta. Julie dearly loved animals and was a ray of sunshine to those who knew her.

Survivors include her mother and stepfather, Mary and Paul Swindell of Valdosta, her father, Steve Wetherington of Ohio, daughter, Rhiannon Bush Goularte and her husband of Salt Lake City, Utah, brother and sister in law, Jeff and Allison Wetherington and their children, Zach and Grace of Charleston, SC., a special aunt, Melba Alderman of Valdosta, a stepsister, stepbrother, numerous cousins, an uncle and aunt. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Lossie and Estelle Boyette of Adel, paternal grandparents, Barney Wetherington and Grace Devineau, cousins, Mike Boyette, Kaye A. Thompson, Carla A. Delcamp and Aunt Sandy.

A memorial service will be held at 11:30am, Sunday, September 9, 2007 at the Hotchkiss Church of God in Delta, Colorado with Rev. Harold Franklin officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Western Colorado or any organization of your choice.
