Julian McDonald, 73, of Valdosta, passed away on Friday, March 10, 2023 at Langdale Hospice House. He was born on November 19, 1949 in Macon, GA and moved to Valdosta at an early age. He graduated from Valdosta High School in 1969 and went to work with his father in appliance repair during high school and continued after graduation. He operated McDonald Appliance Service up until a month ago, having worked for 55 years. He loved caring for his customers but otherwise was a very private person. He enjoyed being outside and all forms of motor sports, especially auto racing, and he loved his dogs.

Mr. McDonald is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Jodi and Jason Myddelton, of Valdosta; son, Jay McDonald, of Coolidge, GA; his grandchildren, Alden Myddelton and Thomas Myddelton; sister and brother-in-law, Rita and Tim Oliver, of Atlanta; brother, Jeffery McDonald, of Valdosta; the mother of his children and her husband, Debra and Allan Nagy; numerous nieces and nephews; and his beloved companion Birdie. He was preceded in death by his parents, Russell and Reba McDonald..

A private memorial service will be held at a later time.
