Julian Boykin

Julian Boykin, 87, of Hahira died Wednesday, December 9, 2015 at his home. He was born in Berrien County on July 17, 1928 to the late Willis and Ruby Suggs Boykin and had lived in Hahira for many years. Mr. Boykin was a member of the Hahira First Freewill Baptist Church and owned and operated Boykins Service Station in Hahira for many years. He was a veteran of the United States Army having served during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Boykin enjoyed spending time with his granddaughters and playing music with his brothers. He was a fan of NASCAR.

Survivors include his wife, Sharon Morris Boykin; two daughters, Sheryl Williams and Kristie Brown; two special granddaughters, Sarah Brown and Shelbie Brown all of Hahira; three sisters and one brother in law, Lucy Couch of Macon, Nell Leveille of Hahira, Myrtice and Jay Morgan of Tennessee; one brother and sister in law, Rev. Wayne and Cindy Boykin of Adel; sisters in law and brothers in law, Judy Boykin of Hahira, Max and Lisa Morris, Debra and Bill Brock all of Hahira; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, Morris Boykin, three brothers and a sister in law, Bill and Betty Sue Boykin, Vinson Boykin, Gerald Boykin and a sister, Mary Alice Boykin.

Funeral services will be held at 2pm, Friday, December 11, 2015 in the chapel of Martin/McLane Funeral Home with Rev. Wayne Boykin, Mr. John Beville and Mr. Jackie Cole officiating. Burial will follow in the Friendship Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6-8pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice of South Georgia, P. O.
