Judy Mae Buwa

Judy Mae Buwa, 57, of Valdosta passed away on February 14, 2016 at South Georgia Medical Center. She was born on December 26, 1958 in Valdosta to Ida Belle Williams and the late Willie Carlos Williams, Sr. Mrs. Buwa was a wife and mother. She enjoyed cooking and preparing more than enough food to feed her family and guests. She was very giving and known to teach the southern way of living by cooking and preparing food. Mrs. Buwa loved her family and was especially proud of her late son Jason and his military service for our country.

Judy is survived by her husband of 40 years, Mike Buwa of Valdosta; her daughter and son-in-law, Theresa and Alex Watts of Port Orange, FL; her son and daughter in-law, John and Holly Buwa of Conyers, GA; daughter in-law, Sarah Adams Cocke of Boston, Ga; five grandchildren, Andrew, Candice, Thomas, Tara, and Sierra ; one great grandchild, Jason; her mother, Ida Belle Williams of Conyers, GA; siblings: W.C. and Joann Williams, Chris Williams, Raymond Williams, Thomas and Janet Williams, Diana and Steve Massey, Sherri and Mark Martin, Kathy Williams, Lorraine and Charles Rasmussen; several nieces and nephews and a large extended family. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her son, Jason Buwa; and siblings Johnny Williams; Evelyn and Terry Bailey; and Penny Williams.

A memorial service for Judy Mae Buwa will be held at 7 p.m. on Friday, February 19, 2016 at About My Father's Ministry, 2533 N. Ashley St., Valdosta, GA 31602.
