Judy Hilton was born January 11, 1944, in Neptune, NJ and passed away on February 27, 2025, in Valdosta, GA. She was born to the late Osborne R Schleentz and Lila Applegate Schleentz.
Judy designed and constructed her own costumes while performing on Hunt Bros Circus in the 1960s. Her parents owned and operated, along with Judy and Charlie, the Royal Ranch Wild West Circus in the 1970s. Judy continued to design and produce wardrobes for parts of the circus. This included costumes for the group numbers and for some of the beloved animals. She also performed in various acts with her husband. After settling in Valdosta to raise a family, she worked as an administrative assistant/secretary for several businesses including Nichols Homes until retirement in 2006. In retirement, they enjoyed vintage RV camping across the country with TCT (Tin Can Tourists). Her hobbies included cross-stitching and attending any and every activity involving her grandson.
Judy is survived by her husband of 61 years Charles R. Hilton, Sr.; her children Sharon Hilton and Charles R Hilton Jr (April); one grandchild, Charles R. Hilton, III aka Trey (her pride and joy); and brothers-in-law Richard (Sandy) Hilton and Gene (Marge) Hilton.
