Judy Gail Taylor, 59, of Adel went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at Smith Northview Hospital. Miss Taylor was born in Cook County on April 27, 1951 to the late Carl E. and Doris R. Taylor and was a lifelong resident of Cook County. She was of the Pentecostal faith and a member of the United Pentecostal Church on Bemiss Road in Valdosta where she helped with the school program for many years. Miss Taylor was a very giving person and newborn babies always received a hand knitted blanket from her. She loved the Lord and was very faithful and dedicated.
Survivors include two brothers and sister in law, Gene and Beverly Taylor of Pekin, Indiana, Phillip C. Taylor of Adel, four sisters and four brothers in law, Sue and Jim Burgess of Jesup, Peggy Davis Barfield and Bill Barfield of Ray City, Mary Jo and Ray Avera of Adel, Cheryl Ann and William Hopson of Adel, numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11am, Friday, January 7, 2011 in the chapel of Martin/McLane Funeral Home with Rev. W. E. Wood and Rev. Jim Burgess officiating. She will be laid to rest in Friendship Church Cemetery in Hahira. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6-8pm at the funeral home.
