Judy Cole Gilbert

JUDY COLE GILBERT, 60, of Jonesboro, Georgia and formerly of Brooks County, Georgia died Friday, April 27, 2007 at her daughter’s home after a brief illness. She was born in 1947 in Hahira to the late Frank Tilford, Sr. and Ida Lee Fields Cole. Mrs. Gilbert was employed with the State of Georgia. She was a Baptist and loved to read.

Survivors include a daughter, Rhonda Gilbert of Monroe, Ga., sister and brother in law, Evangeline Amanda and Capers Griffin of Milner, GA., three brothers and sisters in law, Harry and Eleazar Miley of Tallahassee, Fla., Benny Gordon and Betty Cole of Valdosta, Frank Tilfred, Jr. and Dorothy Cole of Eddington, Maine, numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Lorene Cole Cooper and two brothers, Lamar G. Miley and Remer Young Miley.

Funeral services will be held at 2pm, Thursday, May 3, 2007 in the chapel of Martin/McLane Funeral Home with the Rev. Wayne Robertson officiating. Burial will follow in the Friendship Cemetery in Hahira. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 7-9pm at the funeral home.
