Judy Carol Powell, 52, of Valdosta died Friday, May 21, 2010. She was born in Douglas on October 16, 1957 to the late James Edward Rollins and Dorothy Helen Farmer Rollins and had lived in this area for many years. Mrs. Powell was a member of the Church of God.

Survivors include her life partner, Olen Stallings of Valdosta, daughter and son in law, Dorothy and Delma Terrell of Valdosta, two sons, James Powell of Valdosta and Samuel Powell of Tennessee, grandchildren, James Hendry, Lloyd Terrell, Sylvester Terrell, Ashley Terrell and Kylie Powell, her sisters, Lillian Sifuentes of Valdosta and Diane Falls of Acworth, four brothers, Michael Rollins, Barry Rollins and Darrell Rollins all of Valdosta and James Rollins of Waycross. She was preceded in death by a sister, Patricia Thomas.

Funeral services will be held at 11am, Tuesday, May 25, 2010 in the chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Carter Cemetery in Echols County.
