Judith Ann Edwards

Judith Ann Edwards, 62, of Valdosta departed on Thursday, December 15, 2011 after a six month illness. She was truly an angel on earth and is now in heaven. She was born on June 27, 1949 in Homerville to the late Irvin Bennett and Katie Alderman Bennett and was their only daughter. Mrs. Edwards attended Cross Pointe Church and was the former lunch room coordinator for Valwood School and a mother to all the children. She recently retired from Thomas Collision Inc. Mrs. Edwards was always involved in her children's and grandchildren's activities and enjoyed them constantly.

Survivors include her husband, Chris Edwards of Valdosta, three sons and a daughter in law, Mike and Tammy Edwards of Hartwell, Chad Edwards of Atlanta and Matt Edwards of Valdosta, five grandchildren, Brice Edwards, Brooke Edwards, Brittney Brae Edwards all of Valdosta, Ben Edwards of Hartwell and Caden Edwards of Valdosta, half brother and sister in law, Roy and Cathy Kight of Middleburg, Fla., half sister and brother in law, Mary Teresa and Don Moore of Fernandina, Fla., half brother, Irvin Bennett, Jr., sister in law, Berta Bennett, stepmother, Eloise Bennett Taylor all of Valdosta, numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a half brother, Warren Kight.

Funeral services will be held at 2pm, Sunday, December 18, 2011 at the Riverview Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel with Rev. Raymond Cason officiating. Entombment will follow in the Riverview Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 5-7pm at the Carson McLane Funeral Home.
