Juanita Wiggins

Juanita Stone Wiggins, of Valdosta, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, November 8, 2023 at South Georgia Medical Center. She was born on August 4, 1937, in Nashville, GA, to the late R.B. Stone and Lena Belle Brantley Stone. Juanita cherished her family and friends, finding joy in spending time with them. She had a passion for tending to her beautiful flower beds and found solace in her church, Calvary Baptist Church. Another one of her passions was crocheting, creating heartfelt gifts for her loved ones. Juanita shared 57 wonderful years of marriage with her loving husband, Royce Jackson Wiggins, until his passing.

Juanita is survived by her daughters: Brenda Branson of Brunswick, GA; Sandra and Jerry Hendley of Valdosta; Carol and Chuck Fulwood of Echols County, GA; and Michelle and Timmy Cumbess of Lake Park, GA. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren: Christie Wisenbaker of Echols County; Kacie Hendley of Lake Park; Amber and Joey Fowler of Echols County; Elizabeth and Alan Frier of Echols County; Candice Branson of Brunswick; and Brock Cumbess of Lake Park. Additionally, Juanita leaves behind her adored great-grandchildren: Bryan Luke, Kaylee Luke, A.J. Hughes, Charlie Hughes, Alyssa Fowler, Eva Frier, Emily Frier, Everly Frier, Dalyce Quinn, and Lukace Branson. She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Alma and Cecil Bucy, of Missouri. Juanita was preceded in death by her parents, husband Royce J. Wiggins, sister Louise Fisher, and three brothers: Jim Martin, Johnny Martin, and Raymond Martin.

A funeral service will be held at 11am on Saturday, November 11, 2023 at McLane Lakewood Funeral Home, followed by burial at Carter Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday from 5-7pm at McLane Lakewood Funeral Home. Online condolences may be shared at www.mclanecares.com.
