Juanita R. Stokes

Juanita R. Stokes, 62 of Valdosta, died on Thursday, January 27, 2005 at South Georgia Medical Center. Born on November 16, 1942 in Clinch County, she was the daughter of the late Razzie O. and Mildred Juanita Hilliard Register. Mrs. Stokes was a secretary at Crossroads Baptist Church. She was a member of Charity Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Dr. Clyde C. Stokes, Pastor of Charity Baptist Church, Valdosta; son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Dianne Stokes, Valdosta; daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Karl Wassmuth, Lake Park; grandchildren, Jessica Stokes, Jeffrey Stokes, Sean Wassmuth; sister and brother-in-law, Gail and Dan Osborne, Washington; brothers and sister-in-law, Lewis and Jean Register, Hahira and Jerry Register, Valdosta. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Raymond Register.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, January 30, 2005 at Charity Baptist Church. Dr. Stanley Luke, Reverend Stephen Carr and Dr. Clyde Stokes will officiate. Burial will follow at McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 29, 2005 from 5 until 8 p.m. at the Carson McLane Funeral Home.
