Juanita Morris Johnson

Juanita Morris Johnson, 84, of Valdosta, died peacefully on Thursday, August 20, 2015, at South Georgia Medical Center. Born in Cairo, on October 25, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Ben and Katie Morris. She was a 1948 graduate of Clyattville High School. Mrs. Johnson was a farmer's wife and helper, a loving homemaker and a member of the Dasher Church of Christ congregation.

Survivors are her son, Buck Johnson of Buford; daughters and sons in law, Sylvia and Roger Collins of Columbus, Mississippi, Linda Carol and Greg Brown of Valdosta; grandchildren, Michelle and Ralph Carter of Columbus, Mississippi, Julie and Craig McKee of Cornelia, Pamela Brown, Katie Brown of Valdosta, Cameron Collins of Starkville, Misssissippi; great grandchildren, Cassie Carter and Collin Carter of Columbus, Mississippi, Logan McKee and Tucker McKee of Cornelia; several nieces, nephews, and a large extended family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Julian Edwin Johnson, brothers, Alva Morris, BJ Morris, sister, Cassie Cone and daughter in law, Charlotte Johnson.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2015, at 4 p.m. in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home. Mr. David Nelson and Mr. John Klimko will officiate, assisted by grandsons, Cameron Collins, Ralph Carter and Craig McKee. Burial will follow at McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home in Valdosta on Friday evening from 6 -8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Juanita Morris Johnson to Georgia Christian School 4359 Dasher Rd., Valdosta, GA 31601.
