Juanita G. Hyatt

Juanita G. Hyatt, 86, passed away Tuesday, March 21, 2006, at the Presbyterian Home in Quitman. A lifelong resident of Valdosta, Mrs. Hyatt was born May 25, 1919, in Nashville, the daughter of the late West and Lillian Vick Godwin. She was a devoted member of the Church of God, a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

Preceded in death by her husbands, Herbert McQueen and Thomas J. Hyatt, she is survived by three daughters and sons in law, Sarah and Jim Potter of Bainbridge, Voncile and Frank Foos of Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, Ewanna and Hideo Ishii of Duluth, one son, Herman Hyatt of Savannah; four grandchildren, Sherrie Cothron of Valdosta, Hideki, Joy and Amy Ishii of Duluth, and one great grandson, Dennis Hughes.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, March 25, 2006, at 11 am at McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens. Reverend Wayne Hughes will officiate. The family will receive friends at the Carson McLane Funeral Home on Friday evening from 6 – 8 p.m. Condolences may be conveyed online at www.mclanefuneralservices.com.
