Juanita Duckworth, 69, of Hahira died Monday, September 21, 2015 at her residence. She was born on September 17, 1946 in Winston County, AL to the late Willie and Mattie Lee Morrison. Mrs. Duckworth was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church. She was a dedicated school bus driver for the Lowndes County Board of Education for forty six years. Mrs. Duckworth was a loving mother and grandmother.
She is survived by two daughters, Kathy Stone and Vicki Phillips of Hahira, six grandchildren, Deanna Dosier (Matthew) of Adel, Steve Marcatos of Jacksonville, FL, Ashley Warf (Rusty) of Vidalia, Brandon Banks (Jessie) of Hahira, Chanda Young of Hahira and Brett Marcatos of Valdosta, sixteen great grandchildren, Maranda and Morgan Dosier, Caleb, Emily, Cason and Anslee Marcatos, Jacey and Chance Young, Dalton, R. J. and Abigail Warf, Brett, Jr. and Candi Marcatos, Riley, Hannah and Brayden Banks, her sister, Willodean Kimbrough of Haleyville, AL, special friend and boss, Roger Christie and his wife, Lynn of Hahira, special friends, Ricky and Betty Swafford of Ray City, special niece, Jean Dent, special nephew, Blane Kimbrough, several other nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Henry Curtis Duckworth.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 26, 2015 at two p. m. at New Bethel Baptist Church with Reverend Jim Schappaugh and Reverend Blane Kimbrough officiating. She will be placed in the church at one p. m. Burial will follow at Friendship Cemetery. The family will receive friends from six until nine p. m. Friday at the Martin McLane Funeral Home in Hahira.
