Joyce Laverne Allen

Joyce Laverne Allen, 80, of Valdosta passed away Thursday, January 21, 2021 at South GA Medical Center. She was born in Ashtabula, Ohio on October 15, 1941 to the late Elmer Joseph and Martha Fenton. Mrs. Allen was a homemaker. She loved dance roller skating and it was her passion. For over thirty years she and her husband of nearly sixty years, Edgar, traveled up and down the east coast. They were both state and national championship winners. Joyce skated from 1962 until her health began to fail in 1992.
She is survived by her husband, Edgar Allen of Valdosta, three sons and daughters in law; Christopher (Shari) Allen of Valdosta, Terry (Teri) Allen of Brimerton, Washington and Brian (Brenda) Allen of Thurmont, Maryland, nine grandchildren and many great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and five brothers.
