Joyce F. Horne

Joyce F. Horne, 69, of Jacksonville, FL and formerly of Valdosta, GA, died on Sunday, September 17, 2006 in Jacksonville. Born on November 25, 1936 in Valdosta, he was the son of the late Malcolm Horne and Jessie Hightower Horne. Mr. Horne moved to Jacksonville in the mid 1950’s and was a career insurance agent with Gulf Life and later American General Insurance Companies. He retired in 1998 from American General.

He is survived by his sisters, Diane Monds and Gayle Mann, both of Macclenny, FL; his life’s partner of over twenty years, Becky Moncur of Jacksonville; sister-in-law, Jean Horne of Orange Park and numerous nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Jackie M. Horne.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. on Thursday, September 21, 2006 at Cat Creek Cemetery in Valdosta with Reverend John Akers officiating.
