Josephine (Jo) Pinholster

Josephine (Jo) Pinholster, 91, of Lake Park, passed away Wednesday, February 4, 2015, at Baptist Village after a short illness.

She was born July 28, 1923 in Warwick, GA, a daughter of the late Thomas Jefferson Hall and Ulva Story Hall. Mrs. Pinholster taught school at Clyattville High School and Lake Park Elementary, retiring after thirty years of dedication to her students. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Lake Park, taught Sunday School through the years and was a member of the Joy Sunday School Class and the Silver Doves.

She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Gary and Beth Pinholster of Echols County, GA,
Glenn and Linda Pinholster of Athens, GA; one daughter and son-in-law, Beth and Tommy Faircloth of Fort Mill, SC; five grandchildren, Jake and Kasey Moran of Ashville, NC, Angela and Jimmy Sanford of Mechanicsville, VA, Johnna Pinholster of Cumberland Island, GA, Lauren and Eric Garbade of Atlanta, GA, and Leah Pinholster of Atlanta, GA; four great-grandchildren, Ean Moran, Cai Moran, Joshua Sanford, and Aaron Sanford; several nieces and nephews; and many special friends, especially Joy Barrett and Mary Wilson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Pinholster; her twin sister, Jane Cox; and two brothers, Mark Hall and Jim Hall.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff and residents of Baptist Village, caregivers from Home Instead and Halcyon Hospice for their wonderful care and support.

The Funeral Service for Mrs. Pinholster will be held at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, February 7, 2015, at First Baptist Church of Lake Park, with Rev. Robert Dawson officiating. Interment will follow at Lake Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church for one hour prior to the service, from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. Flowers will be accepted or please consider a memorial donation to the church in Mrs. Pinholster's memory.
