JOSEPH MULARSKI (LT. COL. RET.), 73, of Valdosta passed away Thursday, December 9, 2004 at the Summerfield Suites Hospital in Summerfield, Fla after a short illness. He was born in South Bound Brook, NJ on April 8, 1931 to the late Francis and Catherine Mularski and had lived in Valdosta for many years. Mr. Mularski was a graduate of Valdosta State University and had served for twenty four years in the United States Air Force. He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church and was one of the first volunteers for LAMP. He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Hart Mularski.
Survivors include his daughter, Susan Dismuke of Ocala, Fla., two sisters, Frances Soweski of New Jersey and Jean Hipolit of Pennsylvania, three brothers, Edward Mularski of New Jersey, Leon Mularksi of Connecticut and Ted Mularski of New Jersey.
Funeral services will be held at 12:10pm, Monday, December 13, 2004 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church with Rev. John O’Brien officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Hill Cemetery with full military honors at the graveside. A rosary will be held at 8:00 p.m., Sunday, December 12, 2004 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church with visitation to follow until 9:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the St. John Catholic Church Building Fund or to the American Cancer Society.
