Joseph Riley (Jr) Tyler, Jr.

Joseph Riley ( JR ) Tyler Jr., 76, of Lakeland, Florida, died on Friday, July 09, 2010 after a sudden illness. Born in Hahira to the late Joseph Riley Tyler Sr. and Jessie Wingate Tyler McCray Smith. He was married 52 years to the late Frances Ollie Crane. Mr. Tyler moved to Lakeland in 1969. He retired from the construction industry where he was employed as a crane operator.
He was a member of Haven Assembly of God. He was devoted to his family, and was often the first one to respond whenever anyone needed a hand. He lived a life that represented what a husband, father, brother and grandfather was supposed to be, and was greatly beloved by his family.
Survivors include two daughters, Linda Fry of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Debby Manwarren of Lakeland, Florida. Son, Joseph R. Tyler, III, of Tampa, Florida, grandchildren, Crystal Furnell, Brett Martin, Brittany Manwarren, John Paul Manwarren and Justin Daniel Manwarren all of Lakeland, Florida; great grandchildren, Nadia and Theresa Martin; brother in law, Edward Williams of Valdosta, and sister in law Rebecca Tyler of Valdosta, numerous nieces and nephews.
Mr. Tyler is preceded in death by three sisters Oweda Williams, Juanita Griffin, and Essie Mae Frier; two brothers, William Russell Tyler and Doyster Tyler.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 17, at 11:00 a.m. at Faith Baptist Church 2700 N. Forrest St., Valdosta. Pastor Mickey Wisehart will officiate. Burial will follow at Friendship Cemetery in Hahira.
