Obituary-Joseph Preston Bradley

Joseph Preston Bradley, formerly of Owego, NY jpassed away at the Holly Hill Nursing Home on November 5, 2005. Mr. Bradley was born on November 21,
1910 in Plymouth, Pa. He was the oldest son of the late Joseph Patrick Bradley and Verna McKeel Bradley, and stepson of the late Kate Berkheiser Bradley.
He was predeceased by his brother Leonard Harrison Bradley, and the widow of Dilys Davies Bradley and Thelma Shoulder Bradley.

Mr. Bradley retired from the engineering department of IBM Corporation, Owego, N.Y. in 1971. He was a Free Mason of the Round Hill Lodge no. 533, Endicott, N.Y. He was a life-long member of St. Paul's Episcopal church, Owego, N.Y. where he served on the church vestry and the planning committee . Mr. Bradley was an avid reader, and loved fishing and gardening. Throughout his life his joy was being surrounded by family, friends and pets. Children were always welcomed by him and he cherished visits and time with the youngest especially as he became more frail.

His laughing eyes and happy countenance is sorely missed by those who survive: Daughter and son-In-law Lynne and Donald Davis, Apalachin, N.Y.,
daughter Patricia Bradley, Valdosta, Ga., and son and daughter-in-law Keith and Karla Bradley, Owego, N.Y. Two sisters and a brother-in law, Althea Lindau,
Bradenton, Fl., , and Phyllis and Richard Jarmen, Port St. Lucie, Fl. Six grandchildren: Lorraine Mehre, Birnamwood, Wisconsin, Charles Davis, Nichols,
N.Y., Catherine Fairbanks, Apalachin, N.Y., Erin Thompson, Charleston, S.C., Joshua Bradley and Irene Bradley, Owego, N.Y. Also step-grandaughter Stephanie Field, Athens, Ga. , six great-grandchildren, and several dear nieces and nephews. Also dear friends, the Thompson family, the Kult and Swofford families, and the Johnson family and many others.


Funeral services and interment will be held November 15, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Owego, N.Y. The Rev. Mary R. Demmler of St.
Barnabas Episcopal Church, Valdosta, Ga. will officiate. Respects may be made between 9a.m. and 10.00 in the church on November 15. A memorial service
for Mr. Bradley will be held in Valdosta on November 21, 2005, at 6:30p.m. at St. Barnabas Episcopal Church. The Rev. Demmler will also officiate at St. Barnabas.

In lieu of flowers, the family wishes to create a fund for Joseph's grandchildren's education. For information please call Patricia at 229 249-8750. Donations can
