Joseph Howard Fisher

Joseph Howard Fisher, 82 of Valdosta died on Tuesday, November 30, 2004 at South Georgia Medical Center after a lengthy illness. Born on January 17, 1922 in Levan Township, IL, he was the son of Oliver and Mary King Fisher. He retired from the United States Air Force and the United States Post Office. He served during the Korean Conflict and Vietnam War. He was a member of First United Methodist Church.

Survivors are his wife, Frances Vinson Fisher of Valdosta; step daughter, Brenda Jones of Missouri; and sisters, June Fisher and Eva Copeland of Salem, MO.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 2, 2004 at Sunset Hill Cemetery with Military honors. Reverend David Hibberts and Dr. Charles Adams will officiate.
