Joseph Donald “Don” Cameron, 81, of Valdosta, died Sunday, November 1, 2009 at Langdale Hospice House. He was born June 29, 1928 in Lowndes County to the late Joseph Wesley and Irma Studstill Cameron. Mr. Cameron was owner and operator of Cameron Refrigeration, served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict and was a member of Cherry Creek Baptist Church.
Mr. Cameron is survived by his wife, Ruthie Cameron, one son and daughter in law, Wesley and Mary Beth Cameron, one daughter and son in law, Darlene and David Bauch, all of Valdosta, four grandchildren, John Wesley Cameron, Jr. of Orlando, FL, Abigail Bauch, Courtney Cameron and Alan Bauch, all of Valdosta, one brother and sister in law, Lamar and Geraldine Cameron of Valdosta. He is preceded in death by one son, Joseph Cameron, Jr.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 4, 2009 at two p. m in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home with Reverend Sammy Reaves officiating. Burial will follow in Cherry Creek Cemetery. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to Langdale Hospice House, 2263 Pineview Drive, Valdosta, GA 31602.
