Johnye Lee Myers

Johnye Lee Myers, 93, of Dasher died Monday, September 12, 2011 at the Langdale Hospice House. He was born in Brandon Mills, Kentucky on July 11, 1918 to the late Claude and Hattie Parker Myers. Mr. Myers was preceded in death by his first wife, Laura Jones Copeland Myers and a son, William Lee Myers. He was a veteran of the United States Army during World War II serving in Korea and the Phillipines. Mr. Myers retired from the United States Postal Service and was a member of the Dasher Church of Christ.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Baker Manning Myers of Valdosta whom he married in 1976, two sons and three daughters in law, Rodney Claude and Brenda Myers of Sarasota, Fla., David and Kay Myers of Ludowici, GA and Glenda Myers of Valdosta, step daughter and step son in law, Marsha Kay and Phil Clark of Acworth, GA., one nephew, Steven (Tina) Myers of Hazel, KY., one niece, Eva Lynn Hawn and many grandchildren, great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2pm, Wednesday, September 14, 2011 at the Dasher Church of Christ with Mr. David Nelson officiating. Burial will follow in the Dasher Cemetery.
