Johnny Hugh Tye

Johnny Hugh Tye, 75, passed away on Tuesday, June 10, 2014 in Tallahassee, Florida. Born on May 27, 1939 in Macon, Georgia son of the late Hugh Thomas Tye and Annie Weeks Tye, Johnny worked as a computer programmer for NASA, IBM, and eventually retired from Unisys Corporation. He called Casselberry, Florida home as that was where he lived with his late wife, Patricia, during their 32 years of marriage. Upon Patricia's passing Johnny relocated to Valdosta to be near family and resided in Valdosta until the time of his passing.
In addition to his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by a sister, Marshlyn Tye Baker, and brothers Thomas Tye and Henry Tye. He is survived by his sister Billie Jean (Bob) Ball, and brothers James (Jaunita) Tye, Clarence (Judy) Tye, Grady (Joy) Tye, Harrold (Sandra) Tye, Jeff (Pat) Tye, several nieces and nephews, and his "baby girl" Lillianne ( his poodle).
A graveside service will be held June 14, 2014 at 1 PM at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens in Macon, GA. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Hospice of South Georgia PO Box 1727 Valdosta, GA 31603. Carson McLane Funeral Home is serving the family of Mr. Tye.
