September 12, 1926 — March 5, 2005

JOHNNIE MAE BOOTH McLANE, 78 of Valdosta died Saturday, March 5, 2005 at the Lakehaven Nursing Home after a lengthy illness. She was born on September 12, 1926 to the late Jim and Rosa Etta Booth and had lived in Valdosta for many years. Mrs. McLane was a homemaker and a Baptist.

Survivors include two daughters, Helen Sims and Carol Dove both of Valdosta, three grandsons, Olan Sims of Valdosta, Andy and Tammi Sims of Lake Park, William Sims of Valdosta, three great grandchildren, Brooke Sims, Taylor Sims and Shayne Sims, one brother, Jim Andrew (Buddy) Booth of Virginia, 24- foster children. She was preceded in death by her husband, Horace McLane, an infant daughter, and one sister, Mattie Lillian Peterson.

Graveside services will be held at 11am, Wednesday, March 9, 2005 with Rev. Steve Ward officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6-8pm at the family residence at 1002 East Cranford Avenue, Valdosta, GA.
