John W. Patterson, Jr.

John W. (Rattlesnake John) Patterson, Jr., 79, of Hahira, GA passed away on Friday, February 11, 2022 at South Georgia Medical Center. He was born on August 4, 1942, in Valdosta, GA to Marie Patterson Pitchford and the late John W. Patterson, Sr. He enjoyed all things outdoors and was an avid fisherman. He loved spending time with his family and playing poker with the boys.
He is survived by his mother Marie Patterson Pitchford; his sons, Tom (Lana) Patterson, of Hahira, GA, Jeff Patterson, of Hahira, GA, and Michael Patterson (Frank Starkey), of New Port Richey, FL; his stepsons, Kevin Smart (Jessica), of Nashville, GA, and Jason Smart (Melissa), of Valdosta, GA; his grandchildren, Levi Patterson, Jesse Patterson, Jarrett Patterson, Justin Patterson, John Thomas Patterson, Nicholas Patterson, Thomas Wayne Clifton, Will Smart, Maggie Smart, Samantha Smart, and Brooklyn Smart; his great grandchild, Carson Clifton; and his special friend, Sue Conger of Moultrie, GA.
