John Lawrence Teague, 65, of Valdosta, died on Tuesday, November 30, 2021, at South Georgia Medical Center following a lengthy illness. He was born in Tallahassee, Florida to the late Webster and Beverly Smith Teague, but has been a lifelong resident of Valdosta. Mr. Teague was a veteran of the United States Air Force and upon his discharge, became a certified electrician. He had worked with both Quality Electric and Pittman Electric before branching out to start a business of his own. He was the owner/operator of JT Webb and had, in recent years, worked with Lowe’s. He was an avid fisherman and had traveled and competed on many bass tournament circuits around Georgia, Alabama, and Florida. Mr. Teague was of the Christian faith.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Danielle and Lucas McPherson of Whiteville, North Carolina; a grandson, Aiden Alexander, also of Whiteville, North Carolina; his sister, Amy Loskoski of Savannah; a niece, Sarah Loskoski of St. Mary’s, Georgia; a nephew and his wife, Thomas (Van) and Courtney Loskoski, of Gainesville, Georgia, and niece, Rebecca Loskoski of Savannah. Also, his four-legged friend and companion, Acer Teague. He was preceded in death by his wife, Donna Teague.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 3, 2021, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home with Rev. John Akers officiating.
