John Klimko Sr. was born in Fall River, Massachusetts on May 8, 1928 and went to be with the Lord on April 3, 2015. He graduated from Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island before moving to Dallas, Texas in 1951.
John loved life and he loved people. He enjoyed his work as an aeronautical engineer at Chance-Vought, Ling-Temco-Vought, and Texas Instruments. After retiring from Texas Instruments, he taught physics and calculus for many years at Dallas Christian School. Through all his jobs, John enjoyed not only his work, but the people with whom he worked. Later, John enjoyed visiting with people at any shopping mall. There truly were few people who were strangers to him!
John is survived by his beloved wife of 45 years, Gin, daughter Regina and her husband Bruce from Amherst, New Hampshire, son John, Jr. and his wife Liz from Valdosta, Georgia, son Frank of Farmersville, Texas, grandsons Michael and Alex, granddaughters Katie and Carly, as well as his extended family and many other friends who loved him. John is predeceased by his son, Ralph, from Farmersville, Texas, in 2014.
A memorial service will be held on April 23, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at the Highland Oaks Church of Christ in Dallas, Texas, with visitation at 1:00 p.m.
