John (Johnny) Allen Minor

John (Johnny) Allen Minor, 72, of Lake Park died on Sunday, September 26, 2021 at his home. He was born on September 20, 1949 in Albertville, Alabama to the late Bill Nalfeton and Mary Ellen Tabor Minor. John “Centercut” was a retired truck driver with Wal-Mart after thirty two years of service. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and being on the water and working in his yard. Mr. Minor was a good husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.
Survivors include his wife, Joy Minor of Lake Park, five sons and daughters in law, John A., Jr. and Christie Minor of Altoona, AL, Billy W. Minor of Boaz, AL, Paul E. Minor of Walnut Grove, AL, Terry and Kim Watson of Byron, GA, Ricky and Leona Watson of Valdosta; 20-grandchildren, 12-great grandchildren; three brothers and a sister in law, Joe and Glenda Vincent of Boaz, AL, Mike Vincent of Guntersville, AL, Kenneth Vincent of Boaz, AL; a sister, Rebecca Helton of Geraldine, AL; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and stepfather, Raymond Vincent, and daughter-in-law Rebecca Minor.
Graveside services will be held at 10:30am, Thursday, September 30, 2021 at Wrights Chapel Cemetery in Echols County with Dr. A. H. “Skip” Van Nus officiating. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6-8pm at the McLane Lakewood Funeral Home in Lake Park.
