John I. Moses, 77, of Panama City, Florida, died at Heritage House in Valdosta on Sunday, November 4, 2007 after a brief illness. Born in Valdosta on April 12, 1931, he was the son of the late Ralph George and Temina George Moses. Mr. Moses was a Catholic. He loved his country and he served in the Georgia and Florida National Guards for over 30 years. He loved to be outdoors. He loved nature, especially hunting and fishing. In his younger days he enjoyed playing basketball. Mr. Moses loved his family, caring for them in any way that he could.
Preceded in death by his parents and eight brothers and sisters, he is survived by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 7, 2007, at 10 a.m. in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home. Father Aaron Killips will officiate. Burial will follow at Sunset Hill Cemetery. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to St. John The Evangelist Catholic Church Building Fund.
