John G. Fiveash, Sr.

John G. Fiveash, Sr., 84, of Hahira died Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at Langdale Hospice House. He was born in Hahira on December 8, 1932 to the late George M., Sr. and Gladys Barfield Fiveash and was a lifelong resident of Hahira. Mr. Fiveash was a member of the Hahira First Baptist Church and attended Northside Baptist Church in Valdosta. He also was a veteran having served in the United States Army. He retired as a field engineer for National Cash Register and in retirement was a drive for Enterprise Rentals. Mr. Fiveash was an amazing father who sacrificed for others. He loved horseback riding and traveling to the mountains.
Survivors include his children and their spouses, Glenn Michael and Wilhelmina Fiveash of Hahira, John Gary Fiveash, Jr. of Jonestown, TX, Sharee and Mark Jordan of Valdosta; his grandchildren, Raisha Fiveash, Dylan Fiveash, Robbie Fiveash, Joshua Fiveash, John Gee Fiveash, Hannah Fiveash, Savannah Fiveash, Danielle Jordan and her fiancé, Bryant Brown; several great grandchildren; two brothers and sisters in law, George M., Jr. and Myrna Fiveash of Cecil, Jim and Linda Fiveash of Hahira; two sisters, Laurie Hughes and Janie Hemby both of Valdosta; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, Douglas Clifton Fiveash.
Graveside services will be held at 10:30am, Saturday, August 26, 2017 at McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens with Mr. Jeffrey Dyson and Rev. Gary Woods officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 9:00am-10:00am at the Martin/McLane Funeral Home in Hahira.
