John Charles Rambo, 82, of Valdosta died Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at South Georgia Medical Center. He was born on May 30, 1935 in Brooks County, Georgia to the late Powell Manson and Clara Sansbury Rambo and was a lifelong resident of this area. Mr. Rambo was a member of the Trinity Baptist Church in Valdosta and retired from Roadway Express. He enjoyed being outdoors and working on automobiles and equipment.
Survivors include four sons and three daughters in law, Charles M. and Terry Rambo of Savannah, GA, Johnny K. Rambo of Valdosta, C. Wayne and Theresa Rambo of Valdosta, Robert S. and Melissa Rambo of Hahira; his grandchildren, Scott Rambo, Erin Rambo, Madison Rambo, Laura-Paige Rambo, B. J. Rambo, Chris Rambo, Marissa Howze, Michele Wiggins, Brandi Ledbetter, Jessie Macias, Daniel Watson and several great grandchildren; his brother and sister in law, Evans and June Rambo of Valdosta.
Graveside services will be held at 2pm, Friday, January 5, 2018 at Columbia Cemetery in Brooks County with Pastor Robbie Peay officiating.
