Joe L. Tucker

Mr. Joe L. Tucker, 71, died Monday, May 9, 2005 at his daughter’s residence. He was born April 13, 1934 in Atkinson County to the late Jake and Alice Tucker. Mr. Tucker was an aircraft electrician, serving in the U.S. Air Force for 20 years. He served in the Vietnam War with the 3rd Tactical Fighter Wing at Bien Hoa.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Dale Tucker of Jesup; his son, Joey L. Tucker of Douglas; his daughter, Pam (Leon) Tucker of Valdosta; his grandson, David (Katie) Rouse of Atlanta; his granddaughter, Beth Tucker of Valdosta; his sister Myrtice (Burl) Howard of Brunswick and his niece Sandy Taylor of Brunswick.

Funeral services will be Thursday, May 12, 2005 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home with Reverend Benny Olliff officiating. Burial will follow in Riverview Memorial Gardens with full military rites at the gravesite. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
