Joann Beck Lineberger Clayton

Joann Beck Lineberger Clayton, 66, of Valdosta, died at her home on Sunday, January 12, 2014 after a brief illness. She was born on May 12, 1947 in Valdosta to the late Paul and Vannah Lineberger Beck. Joann was a 1965 graduate of Valdosta High School. She attended David Lipscomb College in Nashville, TN and Valdosta State College. Joann moved to Sarasota, FL and was owner of Bee Ridge Florist for several years. She was a member of South Trail Church of Christ in Sarasota.

Survivors include her husband, Russell Clayton of Valdosta, her son, Todd Alan Porter of Enterprise, AL, three sisters and two brothers in law, Betty Andrews of Orange City, FL, Pauline and Charles Farris of Wimberly, TX, Peggy and Al Schroer of Poinciana, FL.

The family will receive friends from six until eight p. m. Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at the McLane Lakewood Funeral Home in Lake Park.
