Joan Thomas Nelson

Joan Thomas Nelson, 78, of Jennings, passed away on Thursday, February 20, 2020, at South Georgia Medical Center. Born in Allais, Kentucky, on September 12, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Dewey Thomas and Lorene Salyers Thomas. Mrs. Nelson had taught school in the Pinellas County Schools. She was a book publisher.
Survivors are her husband, Richard Nelson of Jennings; daughters and sons in law, Ivory (Robert) Dodds of Oldsmar, Florida, Lori (Dean) Jones of Jennings, Florida; eight grandchildren, nine great grandchildren; stepdaughters, Robin (Scott) White of Land O’ Lakes, Florida, Roni Nelson of Lutz, Florida. She was preceded in death by a son, King Kleski.
Private service for Mrs. Nelson will be held at a later time. McLane Funeral and Cremation services is in charge of arrangements.
