Joan Strom

Joan Strom, 70, of Valdosta died Friday, March 4, 2016 at Langdale Hospice House. She was born in Valdosta on September 21, 1945. She was the daughter of the late Ruth Cowart Spell and the late Rudolph Spell and had lived in Lakeland and Valdosta for many years. Mrs. Strom was a member of the Bemiss Road Baptist Church. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and helping people.
Survivors include her husband, Gene Strom of Valdosta, son and daughter in law, Eddie and Becky Strom of Hahira; daughter and son in law, Lu and Wendell Campbell of Valdosta; her grandchildren, Nathan Strom and Baxa Campbell; sister and brother in law, Judy and Larry James of Athens, GA. She was preceded in death by a sister, Annie Mae Lee of Yulee, FL and a brother, Dan Wade Spell of Adel.
Funeral services will be held at 2pm, Monday, March 7, 2016 in the chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home with Dr. Danny Edwards officiating. Burial will follow in the Sunset Hill Cemetery.
