Joan Elizabeth Saliba Burnett, 85, of Valdosta died Sunday, February 7, 2021 at South Georgia Medical Center. She was born in Valdosta on June 6, 1935 to the late Gabriel and Amy Saliba. Mrs. Burnett was a homemaker and a member of Greenwood Baptist Church. She served as a Pink Lady at SGMC.
Mrs. Burnett is survived by her daughters and sons in law, Tracie Ann Arrington and Dana and Frank Richards, all of Valdosta, Julie Burnett of St. Mary’s GA and Teresa and Neal Murphy of Patterson, GA, three grandsons, Noah Richards, William Richards and Zach Murphy, brother, Gabriel Saliba of Orlando and sister and brother in law, Barbara and Wayne Alexander of Valdosta. She was precedeased on May 18, 2020 by her husband, Kenneth Ronald Burnett. She is also predeceased by three sisters, Juliette Hayes, Pearl Beason and Dora Vinson.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 20, 2021 at 2pm in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home with Dr. Clyde Stokes and Mr. Chuck Coker officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:30-2pm prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the R.
