Jimmy Carlton Giddens, Jr., 50, of Hahira died Tuesday, June 17, 2014. He was born in Shirley, Massachusetts on February 24, 1964 and had lived in Hahira most of his life. He loved his family, grandchildren and friends. He was raised on the family farm that he loved and especially enjoyed bailing hay. Jimmy was a 1983 graduate of Lowndes High School and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his parents, Jimmy, Sr. and Linda Giddens of Hahira, sister and brother in law, Beth and Louie Radney, Jr. of Hahira, three children, Trey, Chaise and Taylor, two grandchildren, Baylin and Brenna, niece and nephew, Kasie Radney, Kraven Radney, his grandmother, Doris Clanton Giddens of Hahira, numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Carlton D. Giddens and maternal grandparents, Bishop M. Ward and Evelyn Hancock Ward.
Funeral services will be held at 2pm, Friday, June 20, 2014 in the chapel of Martin/McLane Funeral Home with Rev. Terry Sellars and Pastor Keith Stith officiating. Burial will follow in the Fellowship Cemetery near Cecil. The family will receive friends on Friday from 1pm until service time at the funeral home.
