Jewell Rogers Moon

Jewell Rogers Moon, 83, of Valdosta died Wednesday, September 9, 2009 at Smith Northview Hospital after a lengthy illness. She was born in Collins, Georgia on December 30, 1925 to the late Ward and Annie Mae Holland Rogers and had lived in this area for many years. Mrs. Moon was a Baptist.

Survivors include two daughters and sons in law, Dianne and Frank Collins of Scottsmoor, Fla., Brenda and Dennis Wyrick of Valdosta, son and daughter in law, David and Lee Moon of Naylor, three grandchildren, Shannon Collins of Scottsmoor, Fla., David H. Moon, Jr. of Naylor and Pvt. Roy Caleb Moon, stationed with U.S. Army in Ft. Wainwright, Alaska, two sisters, Etharee Waters of Pooler, GA. and Margie Gordy of Collins, GA., one brother, Jerry Rogers of Charleston, SC. She was preceded in death by husband, Roy Moon, a daughter, Donna Gail Moon, one sister, Willene Hendrix and a brother, Jimmy Rogers.
