Jessie Margaret Holton

Jessie Holton, 97, of Valdosta, died Wednesday, June 27, 2007 at Heritage House Nursing Home. She was born on August 11, 1909 in Lowndes County to the late James William and Lilla Virginia Hardee Barrett. Mrs. Holton was a homemaker and a member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday school for many years.

She is survived by two daughters and sons in law, Marjorie and Max Crews and Regina and Walter Culpepper of Valdosta, one son and daughter in law, Alton and Lee Holton of Kernersville, NC, a number of grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mrs. Holton is preceded in death by her husband, Carey Holton and her son and daughter in law, Ashley and Dorothy Holton.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 30, 2007 at two p. m. in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home with Reverend Roger Culpepper officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery.
