Jessie Faye Moor, 78, of Valdosta died on Saturday, February 5, 2011 at the Langdale Hospice House. She was born on March, 11 1932 in Stanton, Alabama to the late Jessie and Sally Miller Rush. She has been a resident of Valdosta since 1970 and worked as a paraprofessional with the Pine Grove Elementary School for 20 years and was a member of Morningside Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Debbie and Andy Crosby of Hahira, and Cindy and Billy Foster of Jacksonville, Florida; a son and daughter-in-law, Buddy and Donna Moor of Kentucky; grandchildren and their spouses, Denny and Lisa Crosby, Mendy Crosby, Kelly and Jonathan Spell, Tammy and Rhett Burroughs all of Valdosta, Mike Green of Gainesville, Florida and Lydia Green of Jacksonville, Florida; four great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Mireen Rush of Mississippi; two sisters, Emma Blow and Ruby Robinson both of Mobile, Alabama; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Morris Howard (Moose) Moor, and a brother, Charles Rush.
Services for Jessie Faye Moor will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, February 9, 2011 at Morningside Baptist Church with Dr. Wayne Robertson officiating. The burial will follow in the McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Carson McLane Funeral Home.
