Jessie Cleveland "Bill" Allen, Jr.

Jessie Cleveland "Bill" Allen, Jr., 86, of Valdosta died Friday, April 25, 2014 at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital in Tallahassee, FL. He was born on July 15, 1927 in Clinch County, GA to the late Jessie Cleveland Allen, Sr. and Ollie Mae Allen. Mr. Allen was a retired truck driver with RTC (Rocor Trucking Company), served three years in the United States Army, was a member of Azalea City Church of God and was a fireman with the Valdosta Fire Department.

He is survived by his children and their spouses, Linda Wilson of Houston, TX, Joyce Dixon (Thomas) of Valdosta, Billie Cain (Bruce) of Hahira, Peggy Breazeale of Hahira and (Earl) of Valdosta, Jessie C. Allen III (Debbie) of Lake Park, Vicky Allen of Houston, TX, Ricky Allen (Sherry) of Winter Haven, FL and Stevie Allen (Samantha) of Adel, fifteen grandchildren, Tim Wilson (Debra), Roy Wilson (Brenda), Tammy Weldon (Mike Thornton), Michelle Chauncey, Alan Cain, Wayne Breazeale, Josh Allen (Chuck Barnhill), Dustin Allen (Brittany), Michelle Ortiz, Hunter Ortiz, Andrew Allen, Kyle Allen (Vicki), Noah Allen, Brannon Allen and Lacey Allen, seventeen great grandchildren, seven great great grandchildren, and his companion, Annie Lusk of Valdosta. He is predeceased by his wife, Fairlene Allen, a granddaughter, Tina Wilson, a brother, Quinton Allen and his parents.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at eleven a. m. at Azalea City Church of God with Reverend Carroll Allen and Reverend Raymond Gabbard officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from six until eight p. m. at the Carson McLane Funeral Home.
