Jerry Wayne Giddens

Jerry Wayne Giddens, 59 of Valdosta and formerly of Lancaster, CA died on Monday, April 4, 2005. Born on December 22, 1945 in Valdosta, he was the son of Geraldine Giddens and the late Norvell (Joe) Giddens of Lancaster. Jerry was a retired engineer for Boeing Aircraft and was a United States Navy veteran. He loved to fish, hunt and grow a garden.

Survivors are his wife, Deborah Giddens of Pavo; daughter, Susan Giddens of San Franciso; son, Jason Giddens of Colorado Springs, CO; stepsons, Scott Kemberling of Orange Co., CA, Brian Kemberling of Lancaster, CA; sister, Shirley Griffith of Lancaster, CA; nieces and nephews, Burt Rouzer of Savannah, GA, Vanessa Rouzer of Lancaster, CA and Misti Giddens of Santa Clarita, CA. He was preceded in death by a brother, Joey Giddens.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 9, 2005 in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home with Reverend Brian Sayre officiating. Burial will follow at Hickory Grove Cemetery in Valdosta. The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 7 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
