Jerry James Touchton

Jerry James Touchton, 79, of Valdosta, passed away Monday, April 18, 2011, at Tift Health Care after a lengthy illness.

He was born on December 17, 1931 in Valdosta, a son of the late Carson and Lillie Snow Touchton. Mr. Touchton was a Route Man for PET Milk for Thirty-four years and enjoyed gardening.

He is survived by two sons, James Allen Touchton and wife Anna of Enigma, and Bobby Joe Touchton and wife Angela of Lake City, FL; one daughter, Judy Evelyn Touchton of Louisiana; twenty-one grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; two brothers, Larry Robert Touchton and wife Pat of Sparks, and Roy Touchton and wife Florence of Jacksonville, FL; one sister, Edna Shaw and husband Louie of Rossville; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers and three sisters.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Graveside Memorial Service at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 21, 2011, at Copeland Cemetery, with Rev. Ted Graham officiating. There will be no visitation.
