Jerry Emeary Dennis

Jerry Emeary Dennis, 68, of Valdosta passed away Tuesday, August 13, 2013 at his home.

Born August 6, 1945 in Valdosta, GA, he was raised and lived in San Diego, CA until he returned to Valdosta in the 1980's. He went to work at Home Depot, where he was known for his friendly disposition, jewelry, and red socks! He later turned his love for the Doberman dog breed into a business by starting JD's Doberman Ranch. He was loved by all who knew him and will be dearly missed.

He was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Mollie Layton Lewis and father George R. Dennis both natives of Valdosta. He is survived by his children, Jerry E. Dennis Jr, of San Diego, CA; and Michelle Stadnik of Cincinnati, OH; his sisters, Marie Schultz of Mankato, KS; Narna Jean Gay of Lake Park, FL; and Jamie Milton of Miami, FL; and 7 grandchildren.
