Jerome Alan Dozier

Alan Dozier, 25, of Adel, died on Wednesday, July 19, 2006, from injuries sustained in an motorcycle accident. He was born in Hahira on September 15, 1980, the son of Judy Carol Evans and William Ben Dozier, Jr. Alan was employed with Truck Accessories of Valdosta and he greatly enjoyed racing go carts with his brothers and friends at Valdosta Carting Complex.

Survivors are his fiancé, Crystal Hall of Adel; a son, Jacob Dozier of Adel; his parents, Ben and Judy Dozier of Morven; brother, Ben Dozier of Adel; brother and sister in law, Matt and Deanna Dosier of Hahira, nieces and nephews, Maranda Dozier of Hahira, Tyler Dozier of Morven, Katie and Jordan Jones of Adel, Darrion Cameron, Dakota Blankenship and Garrett Rhodes of Valdosta; paternal grandmother, Rita Dozier of Valdosta, maternal grandmother, Ruby Baker of Hahira, maternal grandfather, C. W. Evans of Valdosta; special friends, Travis Norris and Mark Spells. Alan was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, William Ben Dozier, Sr., father in law, Martin Hall and brother, Christopher Dozier.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. in the chapel of the Martin/McLane Funeral Home. Reverend Luther Dozier will officiate. Burial will be at Friendship Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday evening from 6 – 8 p.m. Martin/McLane Funeral Home.
